The University of the West of England (UWE) is a modern, dynamic, and multicultural centre of education and research located in the thriving city of Bristol. Gold in the Teaching Excellence Framework and 89% student satisfaction according to the 2018 National Student Survey prove that the university maintains the highest standards in its activities.
Employability is at the heart of education at UWE. The university’s commitment to building an extensive network with businesses on the local, national, and global level led to a multitude of employment opportunities for students. They can benefit from a work placement, volunteering, internship and other ways to gain real workplace experiences. As a result, 95% of the university’s graduates are able to find a job within six months after leaving their alma mater. 76% of graduates take managerial or professional positions.
UWE’s diverse community is comprised of 29,000 students from over a hundred countries. With more than 600 undergraduate, postgraduate, short, and professional courses, everyone is able to find something to their liking. Besides education, the university provides 140+ student clubs and societies. The university makes available a range of scholarships including 1st Formations Business Scholarships, Chevening Scholarships, Marshall Scholarships (for US students), Canon Collins Trust (for specific African countries), and many others.

The university has recently invested £300 million in its facilities, which let it move higher in all national university league tables. All three of its campuses are located within Bristol, and accommodation is available on- and off-campus. In total, UWE has 3,000 rooms in 10 halls of residence. Accommodation is provided to all international students if they apply before deadlines. The university’s support staff will readily assist with finding housing options that fit students’ needs.
