Ulster University is the largest university in Northern Ireland and the second-largest university on the island of Ireland. The university has branch campuses in both London and Birmingham, and an extensive distance learning provision. The University of Ulster place a strong focus on employability, with many courses receiving professional accreditation and including work placements.

It has one of the highest further study and employment rates in the UK, with over 92 per cent of graduates being in work or further study six months after graduation. Ulster University's Belfast School of Art boasts two Turner Prize winners and a further five nominees among its alumni and staff. The Times Higher Education 100 Under 50 rankings classified Ulster as a leading modern University and in the top 100 globally.

Overview

Ulster University has four main campuses: Belfast, Jordanstown, Coleraine and Magee, as well as two smaller campuses in Birmingham and London. The Belfast campus is part of the city’s vibrant Cathedral Quarter, the city’s up and coming cultural centre. The area is part of a dynamic arts scene and the campus plays host to a number of annual festivals including the Ulster Festival of Art and Design. Ulster offers a range of English language courses to prepare students for academic study at the university.

All international students who have firmly accepted an offer and have applied before the relevant deadline are guaranteed accommodation. A range of accommodation is available off-campus for students seeking more independent living. The university offers a range of scholarships to support students with living and accommodation costs. These are open to all applicants and students can apply directly through the university.
